Built from quotes we collected — there is no list-price fallback, deliberately
Two research passes failed to find a defensible public price for anything in this catalogue, and a market price built from listings measures what sellers advertise rather than what they accept. So this index has one source: quotes Qing actually collected, each landing as an immutable observation with its Incoterm basis, its quantity, and how much of the restated figure was our estimate. It is thin until the funnel runs, and it says so rather than filling the gap with list prices.

What this becomes once the index is deep enough
A real series decomposes a move into factory price, FX, Incoterm change and duty change. Undecomposed, a price alert is noise — with decomposition it is the one asset here that compounds and has no incumbent.
